Waste King 8000 - Safety and Dependability

The Waste King 8000 batch feed garbage disposal, is an especially safe and dependable disposal to use. Whether or not you need a disposal for a new kitchen, or just a replacement, you can depend on the waste king brand name, for long service.

The popular "batch feed", feature, makes it a very safe disposal to own and operate.
It is virtually impossible for little fingers to get in, and any pieces of food or bones to come flying out. The disposal will not run without the cover securely, on the drain. Because it has this batch feed feature, there is no need for a wall switch. By simply turning the drain cap to a certain spot in the drain, it kicks the disposal on. Once you operate it a time or two, you will have no trouble finding the right position for the drain cover, to turn it off and on in an almost, automatic motion.

Waste King, has the longest warranty on their disposals, than anyone else.  This particular waste king 8000 model warranty, is 10 years. Now that's a warranty. One satisfied customer stated, that her's has not jammed in over 3 months.

Maintenance Of Your Electric Car

Maintenance of your electric car...

I have recently written a couple articles on how the maintenance of your electric car conversion has reduced the monthly routines of taking care of the car.  While yes the DC electric motor has greatly reduced what it takes to operate a your conversion, there still is some maintenance.

Of course the tires are still turning on the road and wearing and may pick up a nail or something that will cause them to loose air pressure.  Also the suspension of the vehicle is also still a must to be aware of.  If the tires start to wear quickly or unevenly, it is a good bet that the alignment will need to be checked just like the conventional vehicle that we have gotten away from.

Maintenance of an electric vehicle…oil gauge pressure

Maintenance of an electric vehicle…oil gauge pressure

Have you ever thought about the maintenance and the workings of the electric car? When you do you can start to realize the real cost effectiveness of the little electric vehicles that are gaining in popularity. One of the main changes that takes place in an ev,(electric vehicle) is that there is no longer an internal combustion engine with dipstick oil and oil gauge pressure to check and maintain.

Electric motors do not have any oil levels to check or drain oil for oil changes. Although, draining the oil on a regular basis is an excellent habit to keep, it can get expensive and
time consuming. It is however, a must in the gas or diesel engines.

Maintenance is experienced by all of us, in just about anything that we own or take care of.
Whether it is a house, a vehicle, a baseball glove, your computer or even the kids, everything needs taken care of.

The next step if you don’t already own an electric vehicle,is to be able to afford one, because for the most part purchasing an “electric” is a little more pricey than a good high gas mileage car. You can afford to convert a vehicle to electric from gas power however, if you have the know how. Educating yourself in this is not that difficult, if you know where to go on the net. General information is good to start with, but before you actually do the project you will need a step by step manual, of exactly how to do the work yourself.

I strongly recommend reading one or 2 of the guides available at your fingertips.

Maintenance of Electric Car...hot engine

Maintenance of Electric Car...hot engine

Have you ever thought about what the maintenance on an electric car would be?  If you do, you start to see that there could sure be many more benefits to the electric vehicle than just electric power. Basically, you just replace the internal combustion engine with a much smaller electric motor. There are lots of changes that will also need to be made. One of the biggest, would be removing the radiator, that keeps water circulating in the engine to remove the heat.

The water pump attached to the engine, pumps water through the cooling radiator and lets the fan pull cooler air through the radiator so it will cool the water down.

When we replace the engine with the electric motor, none of the water circulation is needed.
Along with this, potential problems are also removed. A hot engine is usually the result of poor maintenance of the cooling system. Not keeping the bugs and seeds of plants cleaned out of the radiator fins, will cause the engine water to get pretty hot. This can be very hazardous
to the engine and cause major and expensive repairs or engine replacement.

Several trouble spots can be removed with the gas or diesel engine some of which are: oil pressure, carburetor, fuel pump and injector pump (very expensive maintenance).  I will discuss these and other troubles that are eliminated, when we replace the internal combustion engine with electric power.

You most certainly will have to read up on the conversion to electric power.

Gas To Electric Conversions...Tools and Shop Space

This is our third article in our 5 part series on Gas to Electric Conversions, Homemade Electric Conversions, you would need some. Part 3
This article will cover some of what you will need in the line of tools and shop space. A simple single car garage can easily provide the amount of space needed to pull the gas engine out. It is easiest to pull the trany out with the engine and separate the engine from the trany while laying on the shop floor. Now you can have easy access to putting the coupler on the transmission and attach the electric motor. You will have to build a plate to fit on trany that will help support the electric motor. I have a pretty big shop and it still isn't big enough sometimes. After the motor is out you can just push the car out of the garage and you will have plenty of room to do this work. If you don't have any shed or garage, just use a good old shade tree. You would then be qualified as a "shade tree" mechanic.
Now you have an idea of the amount of space needed, now let's look at the tools you will need. Pretty much basic shop tools are needed. A good set of box and open end hand wrenches, (combination set open on one end and box on the other) both metric and American standard. I love to spell American with a capital letter. You may be able to get by with just one of these sets, but they don't cost that much (you really don't need top of the line), so I would have them at the ready. It could greatly depend on the age and make of your conversion vehicle.
A set of sockets both 1/2 inch drive and 3/8 drive and if you really want to do it right, a 1/4 inch set. Of course, metric also. Look for a good friend with lots of tools, is the best solution for hand tools. An assorted set of screwdrivers is always handy. A pry bar 18 inches or 2 feet long, also. A good trouble light, (a light on the end of a cord with protection on it), portable, in other words. Very necessary.
To lift the engine out and put the electric motor back in with the trany attached both ways, you need an engine hoist or a chain hoist hanging from the rafters.(only if they are STRONG enough). This strength thing, needs to be very seriously evaluated. You could literally pull the rafter right out of the garage and someone could get seriously injured. If you have never done something like this before you need to be asking an experienced mechanic to take a look at your garage rafters. Take this seriously. No one needs to be looking at repairing broken rafters, or worse than that.???
A big sheet of cardboard is also handy to lie on, or a creeper if you have a cement floor. You will be doing some of this work lying on your back under the vehicle. On this subject, also you will probably need to raise the vehicle up about 6 inches for easier access, depending on how big your belly is, ha. This, to needs to be done with extreme caution. Use only, car stands that are built for holding your vehicle up. These are very handy and the safest way of securing the vehicle while you lay under it. You really start to think about safety when you are under the vehicle looking up and only inches away is this 2000 to 3000 pound pile of iron potentially ready to fall. Take the potential out of this statement with good, well built, adjustable car stands. You will need at least 2 of these, in some cases 4 would be handier, but 2 are necessary.
This in a nutshell describes as best I can, the space and tools required to do your own gas to electric conversion on a vehicle.

Flax Seed Oil...And It's Benefits

Flax seed oil, sometimes referred to as linseed oil, will do many things that have good health benefits to us all, young and old alike.
It can be consumed by supplements that are abundant in health food stores or many companies will sell the oil to you online or offline.  Flax seed oil has the minerals, iron, calcium, and potassium and vitamins E and D that we need.  Also, fiber is a good plus for adding flax seed oil to a diet.

More flax seed oil benefits, are also found to be a source for the Omega 3 fatty acids that our bodies certainly need.  However, as I wrote several months ago in an article on the benefits of eating grass fed meats, the Omegas 3's and 6's must be in balance or we go from correcting one imbalance, to creating another.

Gee our bodies ARE complex.  Yes indeed they are.

We can also see flax seed oil benefits when we search to find out that flax seed oil for dogs, is also a major benefit for our wonderful little friends, many of us have.

As I said earlier there are plenty of places to purchase good flax seed oil supplements. Just do your own research, and be responsible for your own health, and do your best to keep the "gov" from determining the amount of health you have. Just be responsible for yourself. What a concept!
